It's the weekend. There are a ton of things we could be doing.... like dishes,  laundry, cleaning, etc... BUT, it is winter, and we only have sunlight for so long.... and honestly, time flies way to fast.... So instead, we went to the park! We took about a "zillion" new family portraits in the snow. (A zillion according to Dane that is) We rocked the hill! The snow was well compact due to heavy use yesterday in the warm sunshine. With today's cooler temperatures, the hill was slick, and our afternoon was filled with giggles! Here is another video of the same run from another perspective: I even "got some BIG air!" We sure had a lot of fun! The hill takes less than 30 seconds on a good sled on the way down,  no guarantees on how long it will take to climb back up! We'll be at the park again tomorrow (Sunday) around 3!!! It's a public place, you're welcome to come and play too!...

"Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" - Mary Oliver We spent Thanksgiving Day at home and had our big family dinner this weekend at my parent's house. My dad is notorious for smiley faces. Here is a giant one he put out in the field. We don't have enough snow at home for sledding yet, so Dane and his cousins had a lot of fun sledding for the first time this season. Scooby was really enjoying the snow too! Winter has arrived. Now, the question is, do we put up a Christmas Tree this year??? (We leave for Denmark in 18 days.... )

"Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" - Mary Oliver We had a great time at the Hayes Corn Maze today. It has been a busy weekend. Yesterday, I spent the day at the UPAEYC fall conference , and last night Dane's cousins slept over. Today we spent the gorgeous fall day at the corn maze. They had a great big pile of hay for climbing and sliding. There were animals to feed. We saw the HUGE cow's tongue as it reached for a cone of feed. (unfortunately, the cow was way too quick for the camera, so you get to see the pictures of the goats.) There was a maze made from hay bales. And ofcourse, there was a maze in the corn field. There were toy tractors to drive, and lots of tires around the track to jump and balance on. There was a web of ropes to work your way through. (I think we might have to put one of these in the backyard for awhile.) We rode in a wagon pulled by a tractor. In the "outback" we used slingshots ...

"Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" - Mary Oliver We started off our Saturday morning with a birthday party! Yes, it is that time of year again. Summer is a little bit less hectic when it comes to birthdays around here. Now that we are into the fall, we will have party, after party, after party! This was a great chance to reconnect with an "old" friend who no longer comes to our daycare. It is always fun to see how much our little ones grow as they move on. The party was a lot of fun. Dane enjoyed spending time with some of his friends in a different setting, and honestly, who doesn't love the children's museum? His favorite activity this time was the intestine slide. Oh, and you can't forget the turtle habitat! For the rest of our weekend, literally hours on end..... We did one of two things: worked on the play structure or played Wii. Jack, and Walt came over and helped Allan move the structure into place w...
