We are continuing with our work learning about caterpillars and butterflies. Our caterpillars are growing. They have been making a mess of their food and are at least twice as big as they were when they arrived just over a week ago. We have been observing them daily and recording any changes with photos and drawings. The older children have been writing a metamorphosis journal.
Today's art project, revolving around our theme was finger and handprint caterpillars and butterflies. The children were given huge ink pads and as much paper as they wanted to make their prints.

Some of the children were really engrossed in this activity. They spent quite a bit of time working on their prints and used multiple sheets of paper. It was also the first art station for the past few weeks that all of the children in attendance chose to participate.
